Patterdale Hall is not just a great venue for outdoor activity based breaks. As a residential base that is ideally located within beautiful Lake District scenery, we could be just the right venue for you. We have hosted numerous diverse events over the years including:
Field studies, biology and geography residentials: our ideal location, at the foot of the Lakeland Fells with Helvellyn easily accessed from our front door together with our large grounds make us a great venue for school and college groups wishing to explore parts of the curriculum in practical ways.
Practice venue for orchestras, bands and choirs: we regularly host Bolton Youth Orchestra at Patterdale. This is a venue that has a number of large rooms, so you can spread throughout the hall and play to your hearts’ content.
Wedding reception venue: while we are not a ‘traditional’ venue for weddings we can offer a more informal venue where you may be able to have sole occupancy for the duration of your stay. Our colleagues at our sister company BSS Events can provide you with additional support should you wish for it.
Prefect or leadership training events: we have hosted many leadership training weekends for our own student leadership team at Bolton School, as well as for a number of other schools and clients from industry. Why not bring your potential prefect team away and let us stretch and challenge them while you watch and learn about their individual and team strengths and weaknesses?
Conference location: again perhaps not a ‘traditional’ conference venue, but certainly a beautifully located one. We have hosted conferences from the HMC Large Independent Day Schools Group and North West Divisional meetings, as well as groups from local colleges and those wanting a small classroom-style venue. We have long experience in hosting Business Dynamics courses for sixth form group
